Tight Lines For Healthy Minds

While all Tackling Minds events vary, a typical session will see three volunteer tutors with a group of attendees on a 2:1 tuition basis.

All tackle and bait is provided, although a packed lunch is recommended. We have several partner venues in the area.

Our sessions run throughout the year but during the winter months the sessions are 2 hours long. During the warmer months we will increase our sessions to 3-4 hours. We keep the sessions to a length that we feel is appropriate to the weather as well as the requirements of the organisation attending the session/s.

Tackling Minds requires a 1st4sport Level 2 Angling Coach to facilitate our sessions for legal and insurance purposes

  • Our volunteers are qualified 1st4Sport Level 1 and Level 2 Angling Coaches.
  • Our volunteers hold a valid DBS check, safeguarding certificates (vulnerable children and adults), first aid training and insurance.
  • Our volunteers have years upon years of angling knowledge and experience.
  • The session includes venue, equipment hire and bait.

***Tackling Minds is an official Angling Trust ‘Get Fishing for Wellbeing Approved Partner’, thereby recognising our organisation as delivering to the highest professional standard in partnership with the recognised National Governing Body for the sport of angling.
